We are Julian Furzer and Hussein Sheeth and we are the Directors of BEAU Architecture. With over 30 years of combined experience, Julian as a registered Architect and Hussein as a Building Practitioner, we bring a unique blend of expertise to every project we undertake.
Our passion in Design is what drives us to create well-crafted buildings and spaces that are not only functional but also deeply inspiring. We founded BEAU Architecture to make great Australian design accessible to everyone.

Julian Furzer
FOUNDER, DIRECTOR, LEAD ARCHITECTJulian brings over 20 years of experience across a broad range of architectural projects, with a strong focus on residential design, multi-dwelling housing and thoughtfully planned communities. Having worked extensively across Sydney and Australia, he offers deep local insight and a clear understanding of the urban and suburban contexts in which BEAU Architecture operates.
His approach is design-led and highly collaborative, grounded in clear communication and a strong understanding of both client objectives and market realities. Julian is known for translating complex briefs into refined, practical and well-resolved architecture that responds not only to planning controls, but also to buyer expectations, sales positioning and long-term value. With extensive experience working alongside local councils and state authorities, he confidently guides projects through planning and approval processes, helping clients navigate risk, maximise opportunity and deliver commercially successful outcomes with clarity and confidence.

Nicon’s extensive experience in the residential sector has given him a strong understanding of design principles, statutory regulations and construction processes. His experience working with leading Australian architecture practices and residential builders enables him to deliver well-considered projects that balance commercial objectives with customer focused outcomes. He enjoys collaborating with clients, consultants and contractors to achieve the best results for the project.
Taha Varawala
SENIOR GRADUATE ARCHITECT
Taha brings extensive experience across residential, fit‑outs, senior living, and multi‑residential projects. His hands‑on approach to consultant coordination fosters clear communication between all stakeholders, enabling efficient problem‑solving and smooth project progression. Recognised for his professionalism and unwavering work ethic, Taha consistently exceeds expectations, demonstrating full commitment to deadlines and upholding the highest standards of quality in every project he undertakes.
Aurélie Perthuis
BRAND & MARKETING MANAGER
Aurélie is the Creative Director and Brand & Marketing Manager at BEAU Architecture, shaping the studio’s brand, narrative and creative direction across projects, communications and growth. With over 20 years’ experience across art, design and brand strategy, she brings a strategic, human-centred approach to how the studio communicates and evolves.
She has worked with renowned agencies including Clemenger BBDO, and has supported both emerging and established brands in growing with clarity and intention. Aurélie believes strong brand is grounded in a deep understanding of people and their experience, strengthened through clear, purposeful storytelling and beautiful design. Her work has been recognised with multiple industry design awards, reflecting BEAU’s philosophy of designing for people, and with people.
